Elkridge’s O’Donnell Metal Deck acquires Tombari Structural Products

O’Donnell Metal Deck (OMD) Monday announced the acquisition of Tombari Structural Products, adding to the portfolio of the Elkridge-based independent distributor of metal deck and steel bar joists.
The company, which has been in business for more 35 years, operates sites in Baltimore; Smyrna, Georgia; Dallas; Phoenix; Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania and now Spokane, Washington with the addition of Tombari Structural Products.
Tombari adds experience in larger, more complex projects including those with seismic loads. Private equity investment group Slate Capital Group LLC, based in Baltimore, Cincinnati and Nashville, Tennessee partnered with management to acquire OMD in 2020 to support the company’s expansion strategy.
Dentons, LLP served as legal adviser for O’Donnell Metal Deck. Foster Garvey PC served as legal adviser and Capstone Partners served as financial adviser for Tombari Structural Products.
Founded and incorporated in 1995 by Jerry and Cathy Tombari, Tombari Structural Products has grown over the past 27 plus years into one of the largest Steel Joist and Metal Deck companies in the western United States.
